Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1

Yes, Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1 is coming out on very soon. March 16th soon. I'm not a big manga (or graphic novel) reader. Actually I don't think I've read one in my entire life-but Twilight is very close to me so I'll be buying my very first one close to the  release date (March 16th-I know I just posted this above but I wanted to make sure you got the date right, and hopefully I have it right too.)

Boy oh boy. Georgie's a one of a kind character. She grew up on television starring in one of the most popular television shows with her costar Bram. Bram was always doing drugs and getting drunk on set-she never fully forgave him for ending the show for them. And then years go by before they meet or talk again and by that time, they still hate eachother. And then Georgie goes to Vegas after her husband dumps her for some other actress that's prettier and better than her. Bram ends up in Vegas too and then something none of them expected happens.

I really enjoy the plot line of this book. There's a love/hate relationship going on between Georgie and Bram. The writing was superb and Susan Elizabeth Phillips captured me into this book through all 401 pages.

Will I reread it?
Most defiantly. When I'm looking for a fun, cute read that will make my heart stop-this will be the one.

I'm usually not drawn to books with older characters (because I'm a teenager) and I relate to teenage characters better than thirty something characters. But this book pulled me in, chewed me, and then spit me out at the last page where my heart collapsed in satisfaction.

I picked up this book (from borders of course) because everyone seemed to really enjoy it. So I started reading the book, right? And I was like, Yeah! A kick butt girl character that fights monsters-totally unique. And finally a girl character that's stronger than the male. So as my likeness for the book was growing, all of a sudden I hit the middle and it went up in flames. The book couldn't hold my attention anymore and it just got way too "out" there with all the non human creatures and such.
 
I guess I won't be picking up the sequel but I really enjoyed how different it was. These types of books really aren't my type anyway but I give them a try. Which is probably a good thing, and I'm glad I got to experience this writer because she was so different. And how tired are you of reading about that perfect main character with the perfect looks and the perfect wardrobe-blah. I'm so sick of it and Drew, luckily, wasn't like that at all. So thank you Lili St. Crow for your amazing characters.
 
Will I reread it?
Nah, but if she comes out with another series, I'll defiantly give it a try.

Awards and some other very good news!

I've gotten a few awards from you guys, and I just want you to know that I smile every time I see one, and they totally make my day. But unfortunatly school has been dragging me down from all the homework and tests so it's hard to be able to post the awards and pass them onto other wonderful bloggers. That is until now, becuase there's no school today. Yeah!

You know what? A lot of people and bloggers go around saying that Meg Cabot is amazing this and amazing that. But I've never once picked up one of her books before this; which is pretty bad if you think about it. Becuause I love the Princess Diaries movies and should have probably read those long ago.

But the summary of Pants on Fire, dragged me to purchase it at borders one day and I'm glad I did. I love how Katie lies alot, and has two boyfriends. It was hilarious at times and very serious at times (mostly when Tommy was around). It was just an overall fun read, and I didn't feel like I've read it before, like so many other teen books. It was unique, is what I was getting at.

Will I reread it?
You know, I dont' know.

But I know one thing: I will defiantly continue my Meg Cabot reading becuase everyone was right about her being...an amazing author. This was the perfect book to get me hooked on her charming writing.

The Unwritten Rule Contest Entry

All of you guys probably already know, that Elizabeth Scott (one of my favorite authors) is throwing this humongous contest over at her blog. And hopefully Elizabeth you are currently or are going to be reading this post very soon. I'de first like to say that I adore all of your books and can't get enough of them so I'm suuuper excited for The Unwritten Rule. And I noted that you wanted us (as in the contestants of your giveaway) to get the word out or people excited for your upcoming book not just on the internet but out in the real world; which is what I did.

But in order to do that, my two best friends and I threw a The Unwritten Rule party to get us excited for the release. Here are some amazing pictures from the help of my sister, (thanks Taylor!).
