Smitten by Janet Evanovich

Smitten by Janet Evanovich
Publication Date: July 25, 2006
Versions: paperback, kindle, audio

Summary (from goodreads):
Single mom Lizabeth Kane isn't exactly carpenter material-she's never picked up a hammer in her life. But she desperately needs the construction job that builder Matt Hallahan is offering. And even though he knows the trouble is ahead, Matt can't refuse Lizabeth's irresistible smile.

Matt Hallahan isn't exactly relationship material-he has always been to busy working on other people's houses to make a home of his own. And even though she knows better, Lizabeth can't stop thinking about the rugged carpenter.

Is the relationship Matt and Lizabeth are building solid-or more like a house of cards?

Lizabeth is very desperate to get a job. She has her kid to worry about-so she asks Matt if she can work for him-as a carpenter. Lizabeth doesn't have any experience in the field but something about her makes Matt give her the job. And before long he figures out why he lets Lizabeth work for him everyday-and that reason is he likes her, a lot. Matt isn't the relationship kind of guy, but will he be the right kind of guy for Lizabeth?

I really liked this romantic comedy. It made me laugh a few times including when Matt tells Lizabeth to paint trim for three days in a row because he doesn't know what else to let her do. Matt and Lizabeth together is right and cute. I would definitely pick up this book if you are a fan of fast and funny novels.

Will I reread it?
Yes, eventually I will be glad to pick this book up again. I hope you give it a try too because it brought me a lot of laughs and put a few smiles on my face.

I loved Stephanie Plum but later books were disappointing (some were written with another author) I'll check this out and hope it's as fun as her other series.
