Trance by Linda Gerber

Trance by Linda Gerber (ARC)
Publication Date: October 14, 2010
Versions: paperback
Received from: I Love YA! Tours

Summary (from goodreads):
It begins with a subtle vibration, a tingling.
There is time to take only one breath.
The trance begins.
When it is through, Ashlyn is certain of two things:
Someone she knows is going to die.
And she is powerless to stop it.

Ashlyn had her first trance when she was young. It starts out with her vision blurring and then when the trance begins she sees a sequence of numbers. She and her sister (who also has trances) have no idea what the numbers mean. So when Ashlyn gets a trance at a mall when she is working, she is surprised. She hasn't had a trance since her sister left for college. And after the trance, she looks up and sees that a cute boy was watching her. Ashlyn has seen him before, riding his motorcycle. And when they start to get to know each other better-Ashlyn has to decide if she can trust him enough to keep her secret. And will she ever figure out what those numbers really mean?

This book was very well written and had a fast plot line. The boy that also works at the mall, was my favorite character (and it didn't have anything to do with the fact that he rides a motorcycle-which is hot!). He seemed to really understand her and I loved that he wanted to always help her.

Will I reread it?
I might have to, when the book comes out I will have to purchase my own copy and read it again. I really enjoyed this book and the whole "trance" thing which was very unique and exciting to read about.
